Darnell Thompson

Darnell is the Assistant Director of Education at the Center for Social Justice Education & LGBT Communities (SJE). Darnell joined Rutgers University – New Brunswick Residence Life in 2017 as the Diversity Education and Outreach Coordinator and SJE in 2021. Within those roles he has committed himself to enhancing the student experience through inclusionary efforts that include facilitated trainings for faculty, staff, and student leaders. Darnell received his undergraduate degree from Alfred University and his master’s degree from Ithaca College. Currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Education (GSE) seeking an Ed.D. with a concentration in Education, Culture and Society, Darnell prides himself on using research to advance his work as a scholar practitioner.
